Partartshow: LPs April 2008

June 26, 2008 · Leave a Comment

This April, I participated in a show organized by as new artist group in NYC called the Part Art Show. This was their first annual show, held at the Agni Gallery, and the parameters were that all the work had to be done on LP records, any medium.

These are the finished Lp’s. I still have them if anyone wants one for your wall!

Phil Collins: No Jacket Required

G.F. Handel: Ode For St. Celia’s Day

Beverly Hills Cop: Soundtrack

Mystic Dragons: Blue Magic

I picked out a few odd ones from my collection and my friend Tristan gave me some that he never listens to. I warped two of them with some stove-top heat and then started working. Here are some pictures from different steps in the process. The finished pieces are at the end.
